This tortoise was living at the college that I attend and nobody knew what it was. They were feeding it strawberries:(. I made a tortoise table for it and have been feeding it hays and dandelion greens. I'm just not sure what it is. Is it a greek, russian, or sulcuta? I want to make sure I get it on the correct diet.

Good for you. Hope you can adopt it! Try getting Spring Mix at the grocery store and add that as well. Dandelions are great, but they do need a variety. The part that is visible in your pic looks like a nice table.

Looking like an Eastern Hermann's to me, as well, but it also might be a Greek of some ssp. or another. Can you put up a pic of it facing away, or better yet, a pic of it's tail and rear end and a pic of it's plaston?

Those pics would give us a lot more information.

Are you going to adopt it?

Looks Eastern Hermann to me...

I'm glad you have taken it upon yourself to take proper care of it! It's shell looks very smooth despite the potentially bad diet it's had in the past.

It's a Hermann's. Probably an Eastern, Testudo hermanni boettgeri or possibly a Dalmatian, T. h. hercegovinensis. There is an extreme outside chance that it could be a Western, T. h. hermanni. The only way to know for certain is to be able to view more photos of this tortoise. A plastron view, view from the side and a head view would tell for certain.
