No most that have happened to him is a broken beak that has grown back. The advice on here has been more helpful than the Vet's advice! My Family has had turtles for over 32 yrs. We have never come across this before. Never knew they could get kidney failure! So thank you all for the posts and advice that has helped Our Lil guy!!
Saw the site on Saturday (5/8/21) looking for advice for my Turtle (Russian) because the Vet stated he might have kidney failure! Found so many helpful tips (i.e. Carrot water/Dandelion flowers). So Saturday started with the carrot water and dandelion flowers and the fluid around his neck has started to go down!!!! He (Gamera) has never ever had this issue. My family has had him since 2000.
Hello everyone and thanks for the add. I have two Hermans a 5 year old male and a tiny 3 year old female who has recently come to stay for a year until my daughter buys a house. They both live apart in their own vivs.
Took Mousse to the vet and not much to report. Any advice on getting this guy to gain weight. Been 7 months with basically no growth. The attached image is every week Oct 20 to May 20. Sorry cant figure out how to attach but needless to say it is virtually flat for 7 months.
