Can a marinated hermans and a hermans live together I know of someone that has do e this bit wondered of was ok

It is never recommended to mix spec ies as they all carry different pathogens and what one species tolerates could kill another.

The care requirements are not hugely different for these species, but I still would not keep them together,

Marinated hermanns? Do you mean a Marginated Tortoise, which is not a subspecies of hermanni? I would not mix them as mentioned above plus the possibility of hybridisation

I recommend against mixing species.

Also, tortoise do not usually do well in pairs. All of the Testudo species can be a bit scrappy sometimes and often do not like to share their territories.

Lots of people do it anyway and some people have little or no issues that they are aware of, while others wind up with dead tortoises. It is a gamble. Not a gamble I would take.
