A family member of mine (In central Florida) is not able to properly care for their red foot tortoise (male, around 7 yrs of age) and is looking for a good new home. Do you have advice where we can rehome him?

If you do want to sell it, you haven't met the rules to do that on this forum. But you can go to fauna classifieds and sell there.

Lakeland is a bit far for me.
I'm in SE BROWARD County and I'm unable to drive very far at the moment.
I'll ask around.
Do you have any idea if your RF is a male or female?

Unfortunately I can't accept any more males due to space. (Permanently)
It would be temporary until I found him a forever home.
Hopefully someone nearer to you will chime in.
That's a big drive.

I'm not trying to sell him, just finding a good home to take him.
Yes I understand that you just want to place him in a good home. But there are many people that only join our forum to respond to adoption threads because they want a free tortoise so they can then sell it for cash. Just ask anyone like that a lot of questions and ask to see the yard and enclosure they have set up for him.
Hopefully one of our other Florida members can help out with giving him a home.
Good luck.

I'm not than willing to drive if someone in south Florida can care for him
