New russian tortoise help

I just started my first tortoise mother-ship today. I got him all set up in his new home but I keep reading different information on what to use for substrates. Please advise on what would be best.

Its a matter of personal choice, kmaj007. You try them and decide which one suits you and your tortoise best. But don't use sand. My personal preference is orchid bark then cypress mulch.

I ended up going wit coconut fiber but now im worried its too loose. He went for a soak and ended up covered in it...

I like coco nut fiber best He'll adapt to the sticking fiber soon enough I had the same problem.
