I just picked up a trio from Surinam and they have settled in nicely. They enjoyed the variety of weeds and grasses from my organic SW florida lawn today, as well as a few cherries as treats. I can't believe how much orange the females have on their cheeks. It starts out really orange on the lower cheeks, and slowly fades to yellow on top of the head, very pretty. Fluorescent leg color too. Only this girl cooperated for pics just before the sun dipped behind the trees. I'll try to get pics of the other two tomorrow.

Both girls were out grazing this morning. Obviously the second girl has been bred a few times. She has prettier skin colors, but her shell is a little more worn.
