The temp is 105 107 in the middle of the enclosure under the basking light and the CHE and 90 on the cool sides during the day. At night it drops to 80 82

I agree that a temp gun is a necessary tool. Also, you should have the CHE on a thermostat to control the ambient temp. I had two CHE's (smaller wattages than yours) controlled by thermostat and a basking light that was controlled by a timer. I used the temp gun to set the basking spot temp and to check temps in other spots around the enclosure. The temp gun was great too for checking the ground temp outside on those days that I could take my youngster outside.

Here is the one that I now use:

URI's are serious and can be deadly. What symptoms have you noticed?

They are so cute! Look at those disgruntled looking faces sitting up there on that scale!

I recently went to a reptile show were I saw and fell in love with sulcata's so without doing any research I brought 1. Only to come home and start doing research and find out he had started pyramiding already. Never the less after reading up on them and reading Tom threads. I decided to buy 2 more from hatchlings and see how smooth could I raise them. So now I have 3 lil guys. My set up is a 150 gallon aquarium 6'L X18"W X 27"H. Top soil mix with coco hust for the bedding. A 150 watt basking light and a 150 watt CHE. I mist them 3 or 4 times a day, and soak them everyday for 15-20min. Temps stay between 86-102. Humidity stay at 90%. I will try to upload pictures every 2 weeks around the 1st and 15th. And I was thinking about buying 1 more but these 3 eat so much already I can't believe it.

I just went to a reptile show and bought another sulcata and once I got it home after a couple days I realized it had a respiratory infection. Make sure you keep them separate for a couple weeks at least :)
