I would like to know if this is Mallow weed. I found a Hugh patch and was curious to know. I figure if it is the torts would love it. Thanks in advance.
is there different species of mallow? the mallow in my year stays really small. Its mallow and it can handle freezing. I've been cultivating this stuff all over my ranch for years. This makes up a large percentage of my tortoises diet from about December to March or April. It all dies and dries up in April or May when thing warm up and the rains stop.

there is this park near my house and the mallow leaves are like 5 inches big! but they spray chemicals so i can't steal any for my tortsYes. There are many species in this family. There are at least two of the weed type that I know of, but if I'm not mistaken, hibiscus and lavatera are also in this family. Also sometimes it grows really large round leaves at my place, sometimes little ones and sometimes mine grow all wrinkly too.
I'll bet @Iochroma could help educate us a bit more on this. Please.
