Eating less of mom's cooking, please advise

Put the food dish in the enclusure today and my torts ate half of the usual amount they usually eat which is when I realise they must be eating the timothy hay which I just added in yesterday. Should I remove the hay or let it be?

I would make two areas, with two seperate substrates. one with soil and the other with the hay. give them the option to chose what they like best. I doubt hatchlings are eating much of the hay. Keep a close eye on them, and give us updates.

Today and yesterday I fed them Hibiscus and they ate it all like they have never eaten before. This was their afternoon snack. In the morning, thye eat less of what I give them but they also do eat the hay. I guess a little of everything is good.
