Eating coco coir!

i just saw tomas sniffing and then eating coco coir... not sure how much he ate

why is he eating it and can this cause problems??

I've seen some of my tortoises take a few bites out of it. Hasn't been a issue for me. It doesn't cause constipation.

I solved the problem by putting a little bit of orchid bark over it.
