yellow foot shells, yellow or black?

Hi all
the majority of pictures i see of yellow foots i see have a black shell with yellow dots but i have also seen them with a yellow shell like this

Like with all species there is genetic variation, but that is pretty crazy. My understanding is that the traditional YF has a "black" background.

It's a yellowfoot tortoise with a lighter carapace(?).. looks young also...

Also remember Roshi that as RF and YF age they darken and lose some of their vibrant coloration.
