My tortoise is 2 years old. I live in the middle east where it is very hot normally. Do I still require UV light to keep it warm?

No. You need a UV light to provide UV.
Unless your tortoise lives out doors for a few hours a day.
U.V and heat are not the same.
Tortoises need UV, UVB for health and digestion. etc.

UVB lights don't keep a tortoise warm.

UVB lighting is needed for a tort that gets little or no time outdoors so that it can use the UVB to help it process calcium in its diet and have a healthy shell and bones.

Does your tort get outside?

Your tort also needs to be able to bask in order to raise its internal temperature to digest its food and be active.

The sun is the best basking lamp as it provides both heat and UVB.

If your tort is kept indoors, it depends on the temperature in your home.

So, you are suggesting that they don't require the UV lamps, right? I keep them every day in the sunlight and keep them warm. I am just so hassled as this is the first time I am having a tortoise as pet. One of them is already weak and does not eat. Can you help me on that front too.

If the sunlight is direct and not through glass then they will be getting all the UVB they need and the basking heat.

Please read our beginner mistakes thread: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/beginner-mistakes.45180/

Here are a load of questions that will help us to help you:
1. How many tortoises do you have?
2. Are they kept together?
3. What is their enclosure like and what size is it? (Photographs will make it easier for us to understand)
4. What are you feeding them?
5. Do they have constant access to water?
6. Do you soak them?
7. Does the enclosure have shade - too much heat can be a bad thing too.
8. What temperature is it outdoors where you live?
9. Have you looked at their poop to see if there are any visible worms?

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

Do the tortoises live together in the same habitat? It hardly ever works out that two tortoises living in the same habitat do well. One alone, or more than two works, but not two.

If you post pictures of your tortoises and where they live, we can help you better.
