Ok....missed this intro thing last time. I have a yellow foot and a sulcata for 14 years. I also have a gopher that someone droped over the fence about 3 years ago. I have tried to get him to run away with no luck. He has dug in dead in the middle of their 12'X23' pen. I am guessing he was at one time wild but he is so tame he comes when called. I get that they are from different places and eat some different things and shouldn't live together but they do. Now to my question...do torts lay unfertilized eggs like chickens and many un-bonded pet birds? Cuz I got eggs! Just wondering...

I do believe that they can lay eggs even if they have not been around a male, but they will be unfertilized.

Would love to see photos of your tortoise's...

Hi Jamie:

Since this is your introduction thread... Welcome to the forum!! :p

May we know where you are?

Yes, tortoises can and do lay eggs if they haven't been with a male. Some do and some don't. Looks like yours is one that does.
