Turtles hanging out in pond

Hi all,

I was feeding the turtles today and it seemed like everyone came out to be seen. The map turtles stayed pretty far back, but even they came out. It was a great opportunity to get a bunch of photos.

I would love to get basking photos, but the turtles all jump in the water when I even approach the back door. I literally have a set of binoculars by the back door to watch them bask because even touching the back door sends them diving for cover. Someday.

Maybe when the Rio Grande cooters, which are a couple months old and currently inside, get outside we'll get some good basking.

Yeah, they are really hard to even sneak up on. They see and hear and feel everything. The little turdles lol
