Tuff still looking great. Wondering, seeing you know Tuffs sex, have you noticed any size difference in his scutes compared to others that you don't know the sex of or any of the adults? Just curious if there is a size difference in scutes from males to females.

* No variances to my knowledge. Sometimes it can be impossible to determine without vet professionally checking. I have seen many captive raised aldabras over one hundred pounds that it was impossible to tell either way from direct observation.

* Tuff is actually having issues with his deformed area and will be traveling to Dr. Mader as soon as possible for treatment, possibly surgery.

* He is isolated as a precautionary for cleanliness until further evaluation from the vet.

Tuff's bladder was prolapsing and would not retract. He had minor successful surgery and is now in recovery for several weeks. He is doing great and is expected to make a full recovery without any chance of future prolapses.

Note: Prior to surgery // prolapsed bladder

Aww, sweet tuffy-wuffy... I want to give him cuddles! Give him a cuddle for me & tell him he has lots of people following his story & sending love his way! :) <3 I'm in tears after reading this story! Do you have a picture of his split post surgery? Did they fix his split somehow, also - or just tacked the bladder back up? Best wishes, Mr. Tuff!
