Can plants sense roofs/ceilings? Like if you have a tree or a bush in a greenhouse will it stop growing on its own or do you have to cut the top off of it before it pushes against the glass?
I had a weeping ficus tree and it grew to the ceiling and started to bend over. Eventually I had to cut the top off....so...I don't think that it will stop growing...it just keeps on going toward the light, so it might bend over but not stop growing.
There's a cactus nursery here in town that I visit a lot. Its run by an older couple who don't really do much work inside the green houses. There are many, many plants, trees and cacti, punching holes in the roof material and growing out.
My catus it the edge of my rook and started bending over, of course i had a stubborn one that started pushing up on the rook and starting wrinkling at the top.
