The hermanni are very sensitive to lethargy, if they avoid it because the weather is warm (above 10 ° c) and not cold, they may even die! Especially males, can have disastrous consequences.
In 2014 died two adult males and a female! Always after the brief hibernation, lasted 45 days.
In Sardinia, the lethargy, takes only 45 days to about 3 consecutive winters.
In northern Italy instead, hibernation lasts for 4 months!

I know that method but I can not use it, because I have 50 adult tortoises! ;-)
