Based on stuff I read here on TFO and elsewhere, I made a welfare sheet that I use each week with my hatchlings and younger torts... with older tortoises (like my Russian) I don't fill everything out every time, but I still have a sheet for him so that I can track stuff (like his weight as we close in on his planned brumation time).
Below is Darwin's fresh December Sheet....
It lets me see 3 months' worth of data on any of my torts at a glance, taking the guesswork out of some parts of keeping them... I use the 'notes' section for reminders to myself about dates of wormings or other medical treatments or concerns.
I am by no means saying that it's necessary, or even useful, to anyone but me, but I thought I'd offer it as a possible starting point for anyone interested in doing something along the same lines.
