My male Russian went missing about 2 1/2 months ago, we have searched everywhere! My female had knocked down a board in the fencw and had gotten out, but she is big enough to spot right away, he is much smaller and there was no sign of him at all. We searched every day for a month and found nothing. Today I get a call from a neighbor.... "ummmm there's a turtle in my yard can you come and look?" Yay it's my Nubbs!!! We are so happy he's home.

Ah! A happy ending. You're so lucky. Little Russian tortoises can cover quite a bit of ground.

That's fantastic! I just had an almost identical experience; Myrtle went missing for a month and our neighbor found her a week ago crossing the road a mile from our house :). So happy for you and your tort!
