Has anyone tried using this product? It's the lowest watt MVB out in the market. I thought about using this to lower the temperatures in my closed chamber. My babies still go outside in their sunning pen, but since winter is creeping up I thought about trying this.

70watt sunforce is actually 140W, very hot. I would look into Arcadia 80W for lower wattage and heat.

To place the MVB fully inside the chamber your chamber will need to be over 2' tall even for the 80W, and good size, in which case MVB alone may not provide enough UVB area as it is a narrow producing beam.

I would agree with the above.
My tortoises avoided this bulb. I imagine I could have placed it >2 feet above the enclosure, but then, what is the point?

I appreciate the response! I'm using a ReptiSun 10.0 H.O. UVB inside that hangs about 12"-15" high and a 100 watt CHE on a thermostat, what MVB would be most beneficial with the combination? I'm using a 55 gal (48"x13"x20") aquarium. Until I start building one from scratch.

Why are you considering MVB? Given the aquarium is only 13" wide your reptisun 10.0 covers with UVB the entire width and at least one 1/2 lenght for 24" tube and more with longer tube. That covers at least 50% or more of total area with UVB. In my opinion you don't need any additional UVB and can use regular bulb for basking heat.

I would agree. Sounds like your current lighting/heating set up is fine. MVB's provide UVB and heat in one bulb, but you already have a good source for both already.
As long as your temps are good, you won't need more. As mikeh mentions, you can add a regular house or basking bulb for extra heat if that needs a boost.

This is very helpful information! I appreciate the responses from both of you. I thought about keeping an MVB because I had thought there wasn't enough UVB considering the fluorescent is mounted on half of the enclosure. I'm definitely just going to get a low watt basking bulb to help maintain the heat and have an area for basking. Once again, I appreciate the help! :D
