Russiantortoise.org Forum?

Has anyone registered on the The Turtle and Tortoise Forum that you get to through Russiantortoise.org? It requires admin approval of your registration request before you can log on or post, and it's now been 24 hours since I registered. I've looked for an email there to ask about registration, but can't find one. Anyone have experience? Is this normal? Thanks.

If I'm remembering correctly, its a YAHOOgroup, right? You'll just have to wait until one of the moderators or Joe, the owner, comes online and get to approving. It usually doesn't take very long.

I don't think it's a yahoo group, but it is one of those canned forum models. I'm just antsy because someone posted a 4 tortoise group here in San Diego a few days ago that he is rehoming, and I have no way of contacting him without being registered. I just have to be zen about it. If it's meant to be... blah, blah, blah, and all that.

I know what you mean. It is the 'forum' that you can enter through the russiantortoise.org site. They are good, but can be a bit slow to get to the 'paperwork'. Not sure if you PM one of the moderators, that might speed things up. The same people are on the Russian Tortoise yahoo group as well.

I registered today just to see if they would approve and they did. PM me and I'll send you the login info so you can get in contact with him.

Actually, I got approved on the yahoo list right away, then emailed Joe and he approved me for the forum. So I got in just a little while ago.
