Please Help!

A year ago, our neighbor that kept tortoises had a few escape. He was in the process of moving to another state (from Florida to Hawaii) & I believe this is one of his poor escapees!!

The ground is very damp in this entire area because the properties all border a huge (17 sq mile) swamp. Could this be a terrible case of shell rot/fungus???

I ran out yesterday to buy supplies for treatments, but want to be absolutely sure of what it is before we start anything.

This is what I bought-
*Povidone Iodine 10%
*CVS Brand Chlorhexidine 4% *Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 1%

Please help with diagnosis so we can start proper treatment!

Thank you for your time.

Looks like fungus to me ... to my understanding, the athletes foot cream is that rarity in medicine ... Effective, easy, treatment with no downside.

Its fungus.
And not as bad as you might think.
Just dab on some Athletes foot cream. Stop with everything else. Just the cream.
The fungus will die quickly. (In about a week)
But it will still look active as the area heals. This will take many months.
After the every day treatment for one week. You should be in the clear.
Just check on it every week or two.

Zero pilot is spot on.
Your girl has fungus, but not a terrible case, but let’s clear it up. Scrub with any kind of soap, allow to dry and then apply foot, crotch or whatever fungal cream.
Really, any one of the generic fungal creams will work...
After a week, clean again with a brush and soapy water...dry, and then reapply the fungal cream.
Your girl will be ready for the Prom before you know it.
