My outdoor enclosure got down to the 50s when I went and checked on them this morning. I brought them inside. I guess I am going to build an indoor tort table for these really cold days.

What kind of torts do you have (can't remember)? What are the temps going up to during the day?
My Russians stayed out on nights down to 55 or so, as long as it warmed up enough during the day, even to 70 (meaning basking areas were warmer).
Those days are over around here, *sighs*

Sulcatas. I had it in the 70's when it got to low 50's but it got to low 40's outside last night. I think am going to keep them inside for the winter. I will build something a lot more effiecent by next winter.

I had that issue last year but this year I did a better job with my enclosure's and even when our outside temps were in the 30's the ambiant temps in the enclosures never dropped below 75 degrees and right under the heat lamp stays around 90 degrees. I am going to re-work how I got my lights set up to raise the ambiant temps.

That is way too cold for Sulcata. Can't you put a light in their enclosure? A black light bulb will keep it pretty warm. So a black light bulb and a pig blanket might be warm enough depending on how old they are. How old are they? If they are bigger, it's too cold but not way cold. If they are smaller it's way too cold for them. Can't you set them up better?
