This tortoise showed up at my house on Sunday. I’m sure it’s not from around here But not sure what it is. I need to know what to do to care for it. Thank you for any advise!

It's a Three Toed Box turtle. They're native to your area. It should be released close to where it was found.

Okay thank you. It was trying to get into the area where our pool is. I will take it to the back of our property and let it loose. We have lived here for 25 years and have never seen one like it.

Lots of the local wildlife across the world is feeling bolder, since the nasty "hoo-muns" have sheltered in place for a month. I've seen a bald eagle in the community park behind my house! Usually I had to hike an hour into the mountains to hope to see one! The little turtle probably figured your yard was his new place and wanted to establish squatter's rights.
