The plants in her side have finally reached to above the cover, there are chia over a foot tall, probably closer to 1.5 ft tall and some vines wrapped up around the chia and to the top.

And we finally have some flowers starting to pop.

That is really cool.....I'm looking at yours when I build my outdoor one.....olve the cover with the hinges...I worry about hawks and coons where I live, so I'd feel better with a cover like that. Awesome....I know that took a while to build! Congrats!

Thank you. I actually had another thread called "at long last Russian pen" or something along those lines where I showed how I made it step by step. The only things 've seen get in are the occasional song bird or squirrel, for the water dishes, and since the torts moved in I've not seen that happen so I'm happy with the security of it. The only thing I would change is I would like to make it bigger next time.

I took them out to give them a soak, plus she hadn't come out in like a week so I decided to take her out. I trimmed some while they were soaking, anyway enjoy...

His side, the lettuce head has started growing tall, he stomps around all over the so I don't do too much trimming. H also has quite a few crimson clover flowers starting to pop up.

Then we have her side, the growth is much more substantial haha, since she hides a lot it gets a lot of time to regrow. There are flowers scattered around, and there is chia that is a good 2-3 inches taller than the cage, I'm not gunna trim it down all summer, see what happens haha. She did find her head of lettuce tho, it was there one day and gone the next, I didn't even see her eat it haha, just a path of destruction and lettuce bits hahaha.

Nice pictures of the progression of your weeds through the summer (and in the case of that lettuce, destruction, lol)!
