Ornate boxy's can eat cactus pads and fruits . But I try to limit fruits like strawberrys I only give the tops that way they get about 1/3 green top and about 2/3 berry . Sovi do give banana but only a slice or 2 and only a thin slice of Apple . But that is me we all have our own taste .

Agreed - some bananas are fine. I would avoid the peel though (although I've seen mine eat it too!) Cactus pads are fine for everyone!!! :)

I have been avoiding bananas because I hear that they tend to prefer them over other more nutritional choices.
Do either of you notice this?

No - not really. I don't usually give it to them with their regular "turtle buffet" that I make for them. When I have extra bananas, I just toss the banana in by itself as a treat. They do love bananas!!!

I have two boxies. One likes bananas but no more than lots of other foods. The other one won't touch bananas!
