Put together a new pond for the turtles today. I still want to build a frame around the outside and add plants but it's up and running. My hatchlings have grown enough to live with my juveniles now so I've introduced everyone together. Looking good! I'm guessing you're going to add more plants and visual barriers... :)

I know nothing about turtles or keeping them in water, how do you keep the water clean? Is there a huge filter? I found it hard enough keeping a fish tank clean

Definitely some plants, probably some lilies, Hyacinth, and water lettuce.

You definitely need some good filtration for turtles, they're really messy. I'm running two canister filters on this that filter 350 gallons per hour each.

Looks great! I like how you added on to the basking platforms, and the plants definitely make it look more "lived in"! :D

You've GOT to put some fish in there.

    Pathos grow in water.
They grow quickly and they're cheap.
They also eat up Nitrates in the water

I really like it, great idea to use one of those pools. I wish I had the space to dabble with water turtles.

I had thought about it before but decided to go ahead with it after seeing @ZEROPILOT thread about making fish ponds with them.

    I didn't invent that idea.
I saw others do it on YOUTUBE first.
I'm very pleased with mine, too.
