New Tortoise Owner

HI !
My name is Anna. I live in northwestern Oregon. I was gifted a Russian tortoise for my eighteenth birthday. I named him Tobias or just Toby for short. He is a male as far as I know; according to my cousin and http://www.russiantortoise.net/ ,.. because of how his tale is longer and how he carries it to the side when he walks. I have many questions and I am looking forward to learning how to use a forum. It's kind of confusing but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.
