Also, just because its not supposed to be part of their diet, they really, really DO LIKE FRUIT! Sounded like a pretty good idea to me. Not one to use long term, but to get the calcium into the babies quickly and easily, I like it!

Yeah my vet is awesome he comes up with pretty interesting ways to get animals to eat stuff. This morning they were a bit more active I think the pedialyte soak really helped. I will keep those up.
I am going to keep them on their old diet until they get stronger for about a month and then slowly start switching them over to more high fiber low protein diet. They both will be going back into the vet at the beginning of the year for another check up and a parasite treatment and possibly some beak trimming as well. I hope they both can make it until then.
