New hermann tortoise

Hi I have just got a hermann tortoise and I wondered if there anyone had any helpful tips to what I could put in Teddy's table. I want to make sure he doesn't get bored I have attached a picture of my table.

Put in some plants for him to graze on.

What are you using as substrate?

Would you be able to recommend any plants? One half has topsoil and the other wood chips.

In my opinion, because you have the built in hiding place, you should take out the half log. It takes up too much space in that small tort table. Your tortoise is going to need some moisture in that substrate. Are the chips the kind you can moisten?

If I take the log out is there something else smaller as he likes to sleep in the log.

I've been reading / hearing that the compact fluorescents can be harmful to sight, and the industry's turning a blind eye. Pun intended...

i use this for uvb and a normal chicken heat light for heat.
