My new Russian!

Here he (I think?) is! He is so cute and funny. He started eating right away and is currently asleep in his basking light. Any advice? I will be taking him to the vet this week for a checkup just in case.

He's quite the character, as you can see from the pic where he would rather stand on his hind legs then climb to get food.

He is a spry little fellow. Way to go! Very cute face.
Often at first, they fall asleep in various locations, including under the basking light. In part because it probably feels pretty good after some of the situations they have been in.
Eventually he will sort out his sleeping spot. You have the hide, perhaps (if not already there), add another hide and/or a fake plant, and soil mounded in a corner. He will figure it out.
He looks very healthy.

Cool! Although I noticed you have a grape in one of those photos. Don't wanna give him fruit often, because it will upset his digestive system.
