How can I keep it warm tell I get a safer bulb and che?

I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to use a red light but ill get a che now.

I had a double fixture and the red light exploded when it got to be 100 degrees under it and really humid and I was setting up the food bowl and was going to turn off the red light and just keep on the heat light and I heard a loud pop and looked in and the red light was shattered and sizzling on the ground. I am going to go to wal mart and other places and buy a different fixture and light and che.

Wow, glad no one was hurt. You should be warm enough in Texas this time of year to not worry too much about it. I would keep the humidity lower, if the temos don't stay up high enough, until you get your new stuff.

Ok thanks and I'm glad my tortoise is fine I have him/her outside waiting for my Mom to get home because she needed me to drive her to WalMart before this happened.
