Heating ideas??

So what is the best heat light for my CDT for the box they sleep in at night? its just a sleep box nothing fancy. What is a good light?

I seen a few, like a cheap red light for heat, or that CHE i see people talk about. Please and thank you :)

The best way to heat a night box is not with a lamp. It really depends upon the box. Can you show us a pic? The best option for most applications is a radiant heat panel. It function much the same way as a CHE, but it spreads the heat out over a greater area and prevents carapace damaging hot spots. You don't want colored bulbs either as this messes with their little tortoise minds.

Well there box at night is littereally a tiny box for them to sleep in when i bring them inside and its been getting hot out in ca (besides the last couple days) and so they are outside allll day and when i get home from work i get bring them inside and in a little box to sleep. But i want them to warm in my room while they sleep. since its not that warm. So i was thinking just a che, but what watt? Nd ill look for the panels what box could i use with out burning it? They are in a cardboard box with substrate they use outside. So if u use something with heat it will burn it haha

Generally, they do not need night heat. How cold is their box getting at night? I like high 60s to low 70s for babies and high 50s to low 60s is fine for adults as long as it will be warm and sunny the next day.

Well they are over a year but not 2 years yet. Okay well that makes me feel better its in the low 60s at my house but usually we turn the heater on. Nd goes to high 60s low 70s so then i wont worry :)
