so i currently have 2 russian tortoises that i saved from someone who was not treating them correctly. they were both in what i believe is a 50 gallon rubbermaid tote with a log to hide under. no light, no food, no water, no substrate, nothing exciting!

they appear to be both males, one being 6-7'' and the other 5-6''. they get along great, do everything together and i'll sometimes find them climbing on each other :)

so i took them and found a wooden entertainment center (2 1/2'-4 1/2') it had a sliding door on a quarter of it, which was PERFECT for a hide box. i laid it on it's back, cut some holes so they could excess the hide box, and water treat it. i also replaced the back (bottom) because it was cheap partical board. i also added a sort of second floor to it. i put a ramp going to a shelf so that i could feed them on the wood so they wouldn't eat any substrate. and also just for more excercise :D i also put another shelf in the hide box so they had another way to hide without having to be with the other one. they seem to really enjoy it and watching them climp up and down the ramp is great :)

i don't always have the ramps up, because they take up precious basking space. and the lights are not where they usually are in the pictures, that was simply for better lighting :D the hide box is always closed so it's dark and cool. here's an updated picture without the ramps. and my 2 tortoises! roshi and turtle (from dbz):D

Looks like you setup a pretty cool enclosure. Generally Russians do not do well in pairs. If you notice any biting, butting, bullying you will need to separate them.

Nice, I would plan on eventually making a larger enclosure for indoors if that is where they will spend a good amount of time....:D

Also, you say that one climbs on the other? Is it the bigger one that climbs on the smaller one? I would pay special attention to their behavior to assure one is not feeling bullied by the other....

Pretty torts by the way ;)
