I've been raising a few T. hermanni hermanni from last year as I always do but this one is special to me. She is the daughter (probable female) of my oldest and favorite adult Italian T. hermanni hermanni. Today while out in the sun I snapped some quick shots of them together. Enjoy.

Great pics and beautiful torts too. I'm hoping to break into the second generation thing any day now too. There is something very special about that.

I don't like attaching feelings or emotions to tortoises but do you think she knew it was an offspring of hers?

I would say no, although some hatchlings tend to follow adults around for some reason.
