If I can work out gas to get there then I will be heading south to pick up a young russian, who has been completely mistreated. The lady I might be getting her from said it was found and brought to her, but it has been neglected by whoever had it first. Shell damage, possible shell rot, so wish me luck.

Where there is a will there is a way. Is she far from you?

Well she is mine, it is just a matter of getting to her. She is an 1 1/2 away from me at least, but I will get her. She was found and then given to this lady and she has had her only a few days, but she has a injury to her underside either animal or dropped, possible shell rot on carapace - haven't seen the top yet, but whoever had her before she was found didn't take care of her, she was covered in feces and smelled horrible I was told. I'll post pics soon.

So I got the female last saturday, but I am just now getting around to posting pics. I believe she is a A.h.h (T.h.h) correct me if I am wrong Danny!

This is a shot of her injured plastron (I am thinking canine attack)

She has been hiding, but she is starting to settle in - came out and ate today.

Hard to say whats up from the pictures Jen. But as long as nothing smells, just keep her dry and clean for a month or 2. If you have Nolvasan than I'd use it on all her spots that look bad.
It is good that she's eating and I'm glad you've got her now. :D

Glad you got her Jen! I am treating a box turtle with shell rot and it smells bad when you first start treating it so you would probably know. The infection was pretty obvious in my case. Good luck and I am really glad she is safe now!

I don't smell anything and looking her over I don't see any areas that might be rot. I will however take her to the vet to see what he thinks of a few spots on her shell (plastron front left side) that was really damaged and broken up.

Not sure of her age, she is a little over 5" SCL. Definatly looks like dog or coyote, she was found in an alley and cover in feces and yuck, her weight seems good based on all my other girls, she is eating/drinking so doing much better.
