Lotion for shell...??

I've been reading all about Sulcatas over the last 6 months, and the other day I came across a lady who puts some type of lotion on her sulcatas shell to help with proper, smooth growth... Has anyone done this or even heard about it? If so, what type of lotion?

Your sulcata has a shell that needs no oils, lotions, potions or paint.

It will grow smooth through proper care, diet and humidity

If you need to have it all nice and shiny you could use coconut oil. Besides looking nice for a while it has no real value !

I will occasionally shine up the shells with coconut oil, but it has no effect on the growth, only cosmetic. Makes them look prettier to the human looking at them.
