Shot these the other day, the leopards are VERY active in the early morning, just after the sun comes up. With the new baby not wanting to sleep, guess who else is up in the early morning hours?

Just a couple for now.

When I first read that it sounded exactly like you were hunting tortoises! But thankfully you didn't

Very nice indeed. How old is the baby and does he stay out all night? Mine is 15 months and I still bring him in at night. He also doesn't roam all that much. A little when I put him out around 8-9a.m. Then maybe once during the day then I bring him in around 7-8pm.

One more thing please. Is the baby kept in the same pen as the larger one? If so, no problems?

The baby I am referring to is my new human baby. :) http://www.tortoiseforum.org/Thread-New-Hatchling--48821#axzz1ya8R1C87 She keeps us up all night, then my older daughter wakes up with the sun rise, right when the baby starts to stay asleep longer. It's a little ludicrous right now.

All of my torts stay outside 24/7 (Spring through fall) after about 2 months of age. The adult in the first picture is separated from the smaller two. As far as I can tell, the adult is babcocki, and the other two are pardalis, so they will remain separated.

LOL OOPS. I am so used to babies being torts, I didn't even think human. I did think it was funny that a tort could wake another tort up, that's what I thought you meant. The baby tort, waking the larger tort. He,he.
Anyway, Congrats on the human baby. I don't think I knew. They grow up way quicker then torts do, so enjoy every second. My human baby is 15, 6'2 and I have no idea how they went so fast and where they went too.:)

Looked at your thread of your baby after I posted. OMG she is beautiful. Definantly a keeper. Love her name.

Nice pics Neal. What are your pp weighing now? I just weighed mine last night and four of my nine are now over 1000 grams. They seem to be in another growth spurt right now too.

Hi Neal~ first... You have the cutest little girl (well your other one is darling too) and I can't believe I missed that thread. Was she born on the 14th?

Your tortoises look great! How old are your pps again?

I just ran outside and weighed a couple of them. The bigger ones from the first group are 700 - 800 grams, and the smaller ones from the second group we got are 500ish. They're all in the middle of a serious growth spurt right now, you can see the new growth in both of the pictures on the bottom.

- Thanks, the new one was born on the 13th.

- Thanks again. The PP we have came from a couple of groups that probably hatched out in August through December of 2010. The two we have pictured here are part of the younger group.
