I know I'm being a pain but I really want Herc to have the best possible life. As I said in my last post I'm in the process of building an outdoor enclosure and I definitely think it needs a lid now, if anyone has photos of such an enclosure they could post it would be much appreciated.

Hardware cloth is the mist used. It's stronger then chicken wire. Comes in different gauges. It's the metal fencing in the small square pattern. Make a wood frame out of 2x4,6,8,10,12 which ever length you need and screw or nail the fencing to it. You can either attach it with hinges to your enclosure or just lift it up. Then use latches to secure it from animals getting in.
