Today I saw my (can't remember the name) pouch thing you use to cook food without electricity and had the bright idea to use it to try as a third layer to try keep the water warm for soaking. So I try it out, BUT for some reason my torts decided tonight would be the night that they were going to turn into poop machines while soaking. So I didn't really get a chance to test my bright idea as I was having to change the water so often because of all the poop. Murphy's law. Sigh.20180502_175431.jpg20180502_175441.jpg

Ok today we changed the substrate and I put spider plants to divide two stone tiles, so that Harry and Clark can eat separate from Rue and Kang. Weighed them all and Rue has stayed the same in the last 10 days. Kang picked up 24g. Clark 14g and Harry 4g.20180506_142553.jpg20180506_142602.jpg20180506_142610.jpg20180506_142619.jpg20180506_142640.jpg20180506_184636.jpg20180506_184643.jpg20180506_184657.jpg

Thank you Jay. Even though they have a variety of plants in the enclosure, they seem to like hiding under the airplants the most. So today i gave them each their own hide and put a few more airplants around the hides. Besides the airplants do much better on that side as that is the warm side. Since it is winter now on the days when it is cold, that side stays the warmest, as it is where the che is. Especially at night.

It was outside time today. And I can't help myself. Took lots of pics again. Kang tried to climb the bricks and flipped. But I put him back on his feet. So don't worry. Just thought it was perfect opportunity to take a photo. Harry was trying to climb the red wall not sure where he thought he was going to go. But I suppose he had to try! Rue really was giving the brick a good look. Maybe she thought if she stared at it long enough it would open. She has obviously not heard that you have to say "open sesame" to get walls to open.[emoji23] 20180512_135942.jpg20180512_140225.jpg20180512_140820.jpg20180512_141040.jpg20180512_143358.jpg20180512_143809.jpg20180512_144031.jpg20180512_144047.jpg20180512_144323.jpg20180512_144341.jpg20180512_144749.jpg20180512_144448.jpg

Last night I managed to take a photo of Rue for the first time sticking her head right under the water for a nice long drink. I always read about it and that it is nothing to worry about ( so i didn't) but decided to capture the moment as she has never done that before. She certainly looked like she enjoyed it. 20180514_185048.jpg
