Heres a picture of his or her tail
Good picture for gender identification! Female, or could be a male who hasnt fully matured yet. See how the vent is up close to the body? In a mature male the tail would be bigger and the vent would be farther down the tail and away from the shell edge. Compare the tail size and vent location on your two turtles.

I just looked at the picture from the side in the other thread. Definitely not a hatchling. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable guessing as to age, either. @Yvonne G would be a good one to ask.

Do you know anything about this turtle's history or background?
In my opinion, it's a very old, male eastern.
