Need help identifying turtle!

hey everyone need some help for a friend they're asking if I can help identify which kind of turtle this might be? It looks like a box turtle but just wasn't to sure. Would appreciate the help thanks everyone!

It looks like it might be a luteola, but I'd need to see more pictures to be sure. Also, it's eyes are pretty swollen. Is it eating?

@Yvonne G yeah thought the eye was a little swollen as well.im not to sure just this person asked what kind of turtle it was I knew was similar to box turtle just not sure on correct breed I just wanted to make sure so can maybe help them get on correct diet for turtle..

It looks like a three toed box turtle.

swollen eyes can be bacterial infection, bad diet, respiratory infection, or bad husbandry practices

Appears to be an intergrade of three-toed and ornate.

Swollen eyes may be caused by Vitamin A deficiency which can result in a bacterial infection. A dry habitats can result in swollen eyes as well.

I happen to have three toed box turtles, as well as desert box turtles. Your turtle looks very much like a three toed, not like a desert/Western/luteola. the eyes do look a little swollen.
