I had a guy friend of mine build a new enclosure for my russian tortoise, Betty. I told him to use things that were safe for her, gave him the dimensions and a few weeks later he said he was done. The liner he used in the bottom & on the sides is a spray can bed liner used in trucks. It smells like paint right now & I put it outside to air out for now. I wanted to see if it was safe for her before I get it set up for her to move into it. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Yes, others have used it with great success. Just let it air out ('off gas', I think they call it) until you can't smell it. Then you are ready to go.
You must post pics!

Awesome! Thank you!! I had it outside for the last couple days & this morning I can't smell anything so it's ready for her! I will post pics when it's all done :) This guy was the 3rd person I had gone to about building a box for her, the first 2 blew me off so I'm really excited that this guy came thru & it's going to work out.
