Insects on torts

What is the difference between fleas, ticks, mites, lice .
I found small running white and Brown insects on their shells .
I know tortoises are cold blooded.
They won't harm them.

I find all sorts of bugs running over Joe from time to time, but they're not parasites like ticks and fleas, they're just bugs from the garden where he lives.

Every tortoise table has its share of bugs. Tom calls them detrivores. They're nature's cleaners and recyclers.
