They look perky, bright and healthy to me. Nice shells.
Pick them up, they should be heavy and solid.
Bright, wide open eyes are a must.

No, no idea the name of this breeder, I only have a cell number. Found him off craigslist. I do know the breeder is located in Hollywood.

Outdoor, space is not an issue at all. I can set up a 20 x 20 for this baby, no problem! Its indoors where my space is limited. I'm planning on using cinder blocks for the set up.

I can pick between the 2 he has for sale. I will find out why exactly he's selling.

I really only want 1 now. Really happy they enjoy being alone.

You have 6? That's AWESOME! Must be super fun taking care of them.
I bought mine from a farm in Miami but he had me pick them up at his parents house in Hollywood. His name is Andrew and he bought two females that were crawling around in the back of a pick up truck.
I'm not saying that it was a scam, but I wondered why he was selling THESE TWO. He said he had 48 others! One of the ones he sold me was very, very ill and is STILL not quite right after a lot of vet bills and headache.
It is still highly suspicious that he chooses the ones that are for sale and what is the criteria?
Again, I don't know for a fact that he's up to no good. Just a theory.

I don't use cement blocks. I use fence pickets hammered into the ground and then use deck screws to attach wood used in privacy fences.
Here are some ideas. This is a CHEAP and easy way and it can all be removed or added to at any time.
(One of my pens has walls and a roof to keep out cats.)

Hmm. You made me wonder if this is the same person? That would be bad!

I think your set up sounds a lot more appealing to the eyes then cinder blocks... A trip to Home Depot is warranted.

Your set up is AWESOME!

I have a bunch of those green things from my "Rabbit run". I would only need the wood...I love where they soak. Your Reds are so nice!!

Are you not a breeder?

It's easy. The wooden pickets are 6' long and you want them to be at least two if not three high, So for a 12 foot by12 foot pen three high you'll need 24 at about a dollar each. Throw in a box of drywall screws (1.25") And about 16 metal, pound in pickets. You'll only need a cordless drill for all of the screws and a nice hammer to bang the metal pickets into the ground.
So....About $50 for a long lasting ready to use pen.

No. I'm not a breeder. I'll give you tips on making a pond, later.

I imagine hubby has some work to do this weekend.!
Back to the breeder, If it IS the same guy, Andrew. It might still be legitimate. I simply don't know and until I do know, I don't want to say that he is some kind of con artist. At the time I got the feeling that he was just a nice, young, kid. Maybe he is....(PM sent)
