I saw this turtle. It's a graptemys mix I think. Is there anyone who know it better? ImageUploadedByTortForum1396200436.669325.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1396200456.201977.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1396200478.074737.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1396200489.784888.jpg

We have to see the stripes/spots on the side of the head to ID - carapace doesn't tell us anything.. seldom does in water turtles.

What red foot says. Looks maybe like a Sabine or Mississippi. Take pics of the plastron as well

It's a false map and a Mississippi map. The Mississippi map (kohni) is distinguished by the (almost) solid white eye iris. False maps generally have a darker iris with a line crossing through. They are technically the same species and intergrade over a broad range. Plus captive bred ones are hatched from farms that keep multiple species of maps in the same ponds creating plenty of babies with mixed characteristics.

Also, Kohni don't always have a complete crescent around the eye. Which is exactly what yours displays. I think you have a mix that displays more Kohni characteristics than pseudogeographica
