How to grow opuntia indoor

I've been keeping spineless opuntia indoor, but the growth is not significant

Should their pots be deep or wide? How many inches of soil do you keep?

Are you using a plant grow light? Those things work very good...

do they like FULL sun? I have my starts in a southward facing window that gets FULL sun and can get hot too!

Thanks for the link, it answers my questions, ie. not to use large pots, but slightly larger than cactus' diameter.

My opinion: They can never have too much sun or heat. The most important things in my opinion are the soil and the amount of water. Dig up the crappyist soil from your yard, well drained, and DO NOT water more than once a week in the summer and every three weeks inside in the winter. Do not use potting soil.

Optuna should grow like a weed out side in a pot. Mine grow great in NY, fast in the sumer and slow in the summer!
