Does anyone have any ideas on what to put in Trevor's house? Just to keep him a bit more active?

A tort gets active to feed (or to find the opposite sex 
), so get the temperatures right and put in lots of plants that he can browse and he will go out and about to look for things to eat.
If you just give him enough food to eat in a pile and always put the pile in the same place, he doesn't need to do anything to find it, so he will do the thing he does most... sleep.

That's great, all he does is sleep so I need more ideas to keep him active!
What kind of tortoise do you have, how old is it? What are the temperatures that you keep it at?
A picture paints a thousand words... why not post a few pictures of your enclosure for us to see?
