My new Sulcata night box....Has a sand /dirt floor ... Im going to need some supplemental heating and want to make sure I can just lay my heat mat on the sand without issue??....Thoughts opinions..

I'm in central Fla..The night box is 23"high x 48"deep and 60" wide....

Thank you

Whatever is under the mat doesn't matter. You just aren't supposed to put anything on top, like blankets or hay.

I prefer Kane mats. About two years ago he started embedding safety thermostats into the mats so that no matter what they cannot over heat. They cost a bit more now, but that added safety is worth a few bucks to me. Lets me sleep better at night.
