Those aren't Aylor reeds, those are the real deal big (Vforce?) blocks!

I'm not a fan of the Tracy body(A shell in on ebay now) but I know exactly what those reeds did! Instant power! Nice!

BTW- that isn't even close to a stock rear on that Zed! LOL

I bought this Egyptian MAADI MISR-10 because I have no African guns.
This was still in its Clinton era 10 round capacity. But came with a double stack carrier and bolt.
So I.......
And now it's a hi-cap like it was born to be.
The first photo shows the single stack setup.
And this thing is pretty accurate. Just not a lot of fun to shoot. It's a handful. Not very refined. But it's my only Egyptian.
So into the collection he goes

That whole hub. Sprocket. Spacers. Rim was all custom.
Thanks for noticing.

454 Casull??? I didn't know you had rogue elephants in NH!!!

What are you shooting at with that hand cannon? :)
At one point, I was talking about an Alaska hunting trip with some friends, and it seemed to make sense... the reality is mostly expensive ammo and sore wrists.

So, this MAADI needed a bit of work.
Within shooting 25 rounds I developed a bloody blister on my right index finger from trigger slap.
Upon inspection, the gun still had a fully automatic trigger group and safety. Barbaric quality parts unfit for my needs. So I swapped over to a more refined trigger group. And while I was at it I also changed the furniture to Russian Red. Since MAADI are actually made on Russian tooling.
Now she acts like she should and isn't too frightening to use.

Mr. Kalashnikov would be proud. And I am jealous.:)

I have a Ground hog, actually two of them, soon to be more I'm guessing. I set out a Have-a-heart trap but there are more options available to me if they choose not to get with the program.

Some of you guys use very expensive glass and I know it doesn't come without learning what's good and what isn't. When I began to learn what I don't know about scopes, I was overwhelmed. I choose an easier softer way to get to my goal of shots on target when it really counts.....computers

I use a modified Benjamin .25 cal High pressure pellet gun running @ 2,500PSI with an ATN X-sight2 5x20 Computerized day/night scope. I had removed the scope to let a friend try it so it was boxed in the closet/

Yesterday, I took the scope out of the box and mounted it back on the .25.

I went downstairs, erected a backstop and from 44 feet away, put the reticle on the target and fired one shot. It hit 1 inch to the left and 1.5" down. My phone rang upstairs so I turned off the scope and I went up....

check this out.....when I came back down, I turned my scope back on;
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BYDUZ60/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

1. went into menu- selected Zero reticle
2. placed reticle over target, press button
3. hold reticle on target while using other buttons on scope to move a separate reticle over to the POI (point of impact) press button and save&exit

All DONE!

The scope is a few years old now and discontinued...it's still a work of art and works flawlessly. The BIG downside is the massive weight!

I thought 2.3lbs was just 2.3lbs.

It isn't, it gains about 50 lbs when you are trying to shoulder and hold a nearly 14 lb rig on target, standing freehand! I need a bipod! LOL

There are newer smaller, lighter scopes that do the same amazing things....it's just hard to justify when this is in the closet, even if it is heavy.

Part of me wants to see the trap sprung when I get home today, part of me wants to see the groundhog in the yard....."the sliding glass door opens 3" silently, the curtain barely moving as the barrel draws even with the door frame" LOL

I have issues now after my "corrective" eye surgeries with transition. And unfortunately the area that is totally blurry is right about where a scope would be.
Even iron sights are an issue.
My days of any sort of pinpoint accuracy are over.
My only bet is central mass shots. But hopefully I'll never need to test out that theory

"What we need to get for you son, is a scatter gun" Joe, whaddya got for a man that can't shoot"

I'm paraphrasing from a John Wayne movie I saw once, the store keeper gave the kid two shotgun pistols!

One ground hog down......he had a choice, he did not as they say in the movies, "choose to live". I think he was chasing "skirt". Tell you what, you definitely want this system on the money cause you can't waste time with it up, 5 sec before I begin to waver ...if these things keep coming back and I'm getting the sticks out! LOL a "rest"

My big Boysenberry tree is full from 5'to 40' and it has a bumper crop this year....the groundhogs are eating the berries.
